Christian author and motivational speaker Cindy Gelormini empowers others to live with faith,
creativity, and purpose in every season of life.
Cindy Gelormini was born in Pennsylvania and raised in New Jersey, where her early life was marked by constant change and challenges. Growing up in a nomadic, often dysfunctional family, she found stability and joy in creativity—singing in the church choir, dancing in The Nutcracker, and playing piano in the parish hall where her mother taught ballet and her grandfather served as an Episcopalian minister.
Everything changed in seventh grade during a “Faith Alive Weekend,” when Cindy had a powerful spiritual experience and gave her heart to Jesus. Once she discovered that there was more to life than what she’d known, she set out to find it—riding her bike alone to a a different church in another town on Sunday nights after singing at her grandfather’s service that morning. Even then, she was learning to leave behind what was familiar in order to pursue what was better. That spirit of courage and conviction would define the rest of her life.
Cindy went on to marry and become a mother to twin girls, and later to two sons, including her son Robbie, who was diagnosed with profound autism. Through the challenges of raising a special needs child, she learned to lean deeply on her faith. Although she once felt called to public speaking, she used her musical gifts instead—singing in bands, leading worship, and recording two original music CDs. After painful experiences in toxic church environments over the years, songwriting and rhyming lyrics became her therapy.
As her son Robbie grew up she began advocating for adults with autism, launching a YouTube channel called “Robbie and Me: Autism Reality” to raise awareness about the lack of services for individuals over 21 in New Jersey. Then, in 2017, tragedy struck when Robbie passed away suddenly in his sleep from a seizure. In the depths of her grief, Cindy found herself at a spiritual crossroads—but she held tightly to the verse, “Do not grieve… for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” That promise carried her from despair into purpose, guiding her toward joy instead of depression.
During the pandemic, Cindy poured her heart into a new creative project—the children’s book series “Robbie’s World and His SPECTRUM of Adventures!” which she wrote and illustrated in memory of her son. Once again, painting and rhyming words became a source of healing. The books were published in 2021, the same year she hosted her first retreat for moms of children with autism. Soon after, she founded Robbie’s World Foundation and transformed her YouTube channel into the podcast “Spectrum Perspectives.”
Today, Cindy shares her story on stages across the country—speaking with honesty, humor, and grace about faith, resilience, and finding joy in the midst of pain. Her journey from a turbulent childhood to a life of purpose and advocacy has inspired countless others to hold on to hope. Cindy says that people often call her strong—but she knows the truth. Her strength doesn’t come from herself. It comes from one unshakable truth: The joy of the Lord is her strength.
The Paint Diva - Color Specialist & Entrepreneur
Color Fueled
Paint color expert and author Cindy Gelormini—The Paint Diva—helps you design with confidence.

Cindy painted her very first mural in her twin daughters’ bedroom when they were toddlers. What began as a creative project for her own home quickly turned into a business—painting murals for friends and bartering her talent for dance lessons at the local studio. That mural led to her first paid jobs, and soon Cindy was creating custom murals for homes and Italian restaurants across New Jersey. She expanded her services to include decorative faux finishes, becoming a sought-after muralist and artist.
By 2005, as the faux finish trend started to fade—and nearly falling off a 20-foot ladder—Cindy decided it was time for a change and reinvented herself. She hung up her paint brushes took a job at a local paint store as their Interior Designer and Color Consultant. Her reputation began to spread to nearby towns and they began to come to the store seeking her help choosing paint colors. She took away all the stress and made the process simple and easy. One day a customer called her "The Paint Diva", and the rest was history!
With a natural eye for color and a flair for design, Cindy found her true calling: helping homeowners choose the perfect paint colors. She carved out a unique niche in interior design as a professional paint color consultant, earning a reputation as an expert in her field. She was featured on Benjamin Moore’s Expert’s Exchange, hosted a cable TV show "A Taste For Design", authored the popular guide “The Paint Diva Method: A Practical Guide to Choosing Paint Colors for Every Room in Your Home,” and has appeared on numerous TV shows, podcasts, and radio programs.
Today, Cindy speaks across the country on design trends and how to avoid common (and costly!) color mistakes—empowering others to confidently create beautiful, cohesive spaces with color, and will soon host her own TV show on the streaming network Home Inspo TV.
